Moses Odubajo scored a wonder goal winner as Brentford beat Premier League side Crystal Palace 3-2 in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Andre Gray twice went close for the Bees in a goalless first half before Jonathan Douglas broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half when he curled home from 15 yards after beating two Palace defenders.
Gray doubled the home side's lead with a fine finish from the edge of the area seven minutes later, but that seemed to shock Palace into life as they scored twice within the space of three minutes to quickly draw level.
Glenn Murray scored from close range after the Bees had failed to deal with Yannick Bolasie's ball into the box, before Marouane Chamakh converted an even easier chance after Joe Ledley’s shot was spilled by David Button.
However, the Bees hit back with a superb winner when Odubajo cut in from the right by skillfully lifting the ball over Joel Ward and calmly slotting past Julian Speroni in the Palace goal.
Meanwhile, midfielder Adam Forshaw sat out of the clash amidst Wigan Athletic's interest in the former Everton man.
