Bedfont boss Mick Turtle was not down-hearted by two defeats in three pre-season game this week.

The Orchardmen lost 3-2 to Reading Town last Tuesday and 2-0 to Slough Town on Thursday before recovering with a 1-1 draw against Clapton on Saturday.

Turtle said: "I am very happy with the way the squad is shaping up. "We have played a lot of games over the past two to three weeks and had a lot of good tests. "I played two sides in the defeat against Slough, with a full-strength side only in the first half, but the signs were encouraging."

Bedfont kick off their Combined Counties Premier season at home to Cobham on Saturday before travelling to North Greenford United on Tuesday.
