Back in the fold: Lasse Vibe

There was a triple injury boost for Brentford this afternoon when Lasse Vibe, John Egan and Lewis Macleod all turned out for the Bees' Bs.

All three started the match against Exeter City's reserves at the Jersey Road training ground and came through unscathed.

First team skipper Egan missed Brentford's last two games before the international break after going off suffering with dizziness following a clash of heads in the 3-0 win at Bolton.

Striker Vibe, meanwhile, has been sidelined since August with a foot injury, which forced him off in the defeat at Ipswich just 12 minutes after coming on as a sub.

And Macleod has suffered pretty much three years of injury hell since joining the Bees from Rangers in December 2014, his latest setback a serious knee injury in the win at QPR almost a year ago.

The match against Exeter finished goalless, despite chances at both ends, Macleod, Joe Hardy and Bradley Clayton going closest for the Bees.

First team midfielder Josh McEachran also started, as did back-up keeper Luke Daniels, while left-back Ilias Chatzitheodoridis got some game time under his belt ahead of his anticipated promotion to the first team following Rico Henry's injury.

Clayton, David Titov, Zain Westbrooke, Herson Alves and Mads Bech Sorensen also started, with Hardy, Jared Thompson, Lukas Talbro, Jarvis Edobor, Raphael Assibey-Mensah, Nicolaj Kirk, Kane Lewis, Jan Novak and Exauce Ditu-Bizima on the bench.
