QPR are set to offer a new deal to Armand Traore.

The Senegalese international featured 25 times this season as Rangers sealed a return to the Premier League with a dramatic play-off final win against Derby at Wembley on Saturday.

However, the former Arsenal man, who has made 76 appearances since his switch to Loftus Road in 2011, is out of contract next month.

But the 24-year-old has revealed negotiations are already underway to extend his time in W12.

He said: "There have been some talks with QPR but I’m going to see in the next few weeks.

"I would have stayed whether it’s in the Premier League and the Championship but I’ll have to see what’s going on.

"We’ve talked about it for a few months now with the owner and Phil Beard. They were going to offer me something regardless of whether we got promoted because they believe I can do something."
