London Tigers start their march to Wembley in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary round away to Essex side Takeley FC.

If the Maida Vale side win that match in Bishop’s Stortford they will play the winner of the game between Sporting Bengal United or FC Clacton.

Tigers against Bengal suggests a tooth and nail struggle, and if the west Londoners survive it’s back home to Avenue Park, Greenford in the first round qualifying home and either Royston Town or Brightlingsea Regent.

In other hunts for silverware, Tigers face Berkhamsted away in the FA Vase qualifying first round to Berkhamsted, and if victorious there are back on the road in the next round to either Newport Pagnell Town or Bugbrooke St Michael.

A potential west London derby between Harrow Borough and AFC Hayes has also been lined up for this year's FA Cup first bash.

If Hayes make it through their preliminary round tie at home to Tring Athletic or Holmer Green on August 30, they will host Harrow in the next round on September 13.

Harrow's new tenants, Hendon, also enter the fray in the first qualifying round, where they will take on either AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Oxhey Jets or Bedford Town.

The action starts way before then, however, in the extra preliminary round, on August 16, where eight west London club's dreams of Wembley begin as far from the final as is possible.

Long journey: Hillingdon Borough's road to Wembley starts way back in the extra preliminary round

Harefield United have been drawn at home to Crawley Green, with the winners at home to Leverstock Green or Newport Pagnell Town, and the winners of that going on to visit Hanwell Town, Stotfold Town or Biggleswade United.

An away trip to Sileby Town awaits Hillingdon Borough, with the reward for a win another away game at Northampton Spencer or AFC Kempston Rovers, and the winners of that at home to Long Buckby, North Greenford United or Hanworth Villa.

There's another derby for Bedfont Sports at Staines Lammas, with the winners hosting Barton Rovers for the right to welcome Northwood, Bedford or Kings Langley.

The club with the same name as the final's venue, Wembley, begin with a visit to Cogenhoe United, hoping to land a plumb home tie against Kettering Town, with the winners there away at Aylesbury or Aylesbury United.

Giant killers: Hanworth Villa will be out to match their run to the fourth qualifying round of four years ago

Also on the road are Bedfont & Feltham, who travel to Wellinbgborough Town, with a home tie against Leighton Town up for grabs, then another against AFC Dunstable, Uxbridge or Ampthill.

The reward for Hanworth Villa, if they come home from Long Buckby unscathed, will be a home tie with North Greenford United, and then possibly a trip to any one of Northampton Spencer, AFC Kempston Rovers, Sileby Town or Hillingdon Borough.

As well as AFC Hayes, other teams starting in the preliminary round include Northwood, Uxbridge and Hanwell Town. Northwood host Bedford or Kings Langley, Uxbridge visit AFC Dunstable or Ampthill Town and Hanwell welcome Stotfold Town or Biggleswade United.
