JOHN Terry has only a 50 percent chance of being fit for Chelsea's Champions League trip to Napoli on Tuesday – and even that appears optimistic according to his boss.

Andre Villas-Boas said the Blues captain (pic), who has not played since the 1-0 win at QPR in the FA Cup fourth round three weeks ago, is struggling with a bruised bone in his leg.

Villas-Boas added: “Hopefully we'll have Ashley training tomorrow – there is a chance he can make it up to the Napoli trip.

“JT is very, very doubtful. But we will take him and will see if he can make the game. He wants to play.

“He wanted to play here today, but he is struggling with the injury.

“It is a 50/50 chance I think. To give you an idea, he trained with us 100 percent two days ago, the day after he couldn't train with us – he felt a lot of pain in his knee. So we will take the risk of taking him to Napoli, and do a fitness test and make a decision.”
