DIDIER Drogba could be set to sign a dramatic last minute Chelsea contract extension, according to team mate and captain John Terry.
Drogba, scorer of eight goals in eight Wembley finals for Chelsea, was the Blues hero yet again as they beat Liverpool 2-1 in Saturday's FA Cup final.
It was the Ivorian's fourth FA Cup winners medal, having scored in each final to set a new record.
And Terry believes Chelsea could be about to make it a possibility for the 34-year-old to add to his Wembley tally.
He said: “Didi loves the club. We've got a massive Champions League game in a couple of weeks, and after that I think hopefully something is going to be thrashed out – and hopefully he stays.
“It would be such a shame (if he left now), because he's been incredible for this football club. Throughout the world people look at Chelsea, and look at Didi and Lamps (Frank Lampard) – these kind of players, they are Chelsea.”
