Harsh words were aired in the Chelsea dressing room following their 3-1 Champions League defeat at Roma last night.

John Terry admitted the Blues were out-fought in the Italian capital, which led to a frank exchange of views.

He said: "Of course we had it out in the dressing room.

"First and foremost, when you go anywhere in the world, you need to fight to show more determination to win the game.

"If it comes down to quality, then nine times out of ten we are better than most sides.

"But if we don't show the fight, then we're going to get out-battled.

"And then, on the rare occasions when we haven't got the quality, we need to start first and foremost with a desire to win."
