BRILLIANT Bedfont Green shot up to second in the Combined Counties Premier on Saturday after scoring 10 goals in two games.

They started by demolishing Sandhurst Town 5-0 on Saturday, with Aaron Samuel opening the scoring by slotting home Gavin Hart's corner.

Chris Henry added a second after latching on to Jon-Barrie Bates' through-ball and clipping over the keeper, before Russell Miner bagged his sixth of the season on the half-volley.

A fourth for Green and a seventh for Miner followed after the break after Adie Barrance's shot was deflected into his path, and Barrance set up Bates for a final flourish from the edge of the box.

Barrance and Hart then took over goal-scoring duties on Tuesday night with a brace each as Green thrashed Ash Utd 5-2.

But Ash started the stronger and took the lead, and Green had keeper Lee Pearce to thank for keeping the score down before they levelled through Barrance.

A mistake at the back saw Miner give Green the lead after the break before Barrance rounded the Ash keeper to make it 3-1.

Hart netted the goal of the match on the hour-mark, taking a quick corner from Barrance before curling a shot into the top corner.

Ash pulled one back before Bates was denied by a superb save. But it was his cross that was headed back by Samuel to set up Hart for his second and Green's fifth off his knee.

Green will be looking to go top this week, but have a tough trip to third-place Camberley

Town on Saturday before hosting much-fancied Chertsey Town on Tuesday. * BEDFONT moved away from the Premier Division relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Horley Town, courtesy of a 62nd-minute Mark Gallagher strike.

They host Bookham on Saturday and Guildford City on Tuesday night. * HANWORTH VILLA stayed second in Division One with a 2-1 win over Coulsdon United, coming from behind thanks to a Mark Buss strike and a Mark Scotchford penalty.

But a Jerome Edwards strike was not enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat at Sheerwater for CB Hounslow United.
