SUPER-SUB Harry Crawford snatched three points for Barnet ensuring the Bees maintained their impressive start to the season with a dramatic victory over Hyde.

Crawford’s late winner came after Keanu Marsh-Brown and Mark Byrne scored in the first half before a Liam Thompson second-half double for the visitors.

The Bees made one change from the victory at Braintree with Roberto Casabella starting in place of Crawford.
Byrne swung over a corner for Barnet in the opening two minutes that Anthony Acheampong just missed but the Bees took a deserved lead in the fifth minute.

Weston drove at the Hyde defence before slipping a precise through-ball perfectly into the stride of Marsh-Brown who steadied himself before placing the ball into the left corner to score his third goal in five matches.

Moments later, Casabella’s low drive from 25 yards was gathered by Hyde goalkeeper David Carnell.

Midway through the half Weston latched onto Casabella’s deep-ball from a free-kick only to see his effort cleared off the line.
Barnet didn’t need long to extend their lead ensuring they went into their first half-time lead of the season.

In the 40th minute Marsh-Brown surged down the right before squaring to Hyde whose effort was saved by Carnell before Byrne gleefully slotted the rebound into the bottom left corner.

Edgar Davids, not in the squad for the game, was out late for the second-half but just in time for a goal back for the visitors.
Liam Thompson scored an incredible 35-yard wonder-strike which surprised Graham Stack.

Both teams created half-chances in a physical second half but Barnet should have extended their lead when Marsh-Brown played a glorious ball to Hyde whose close-range shot was saved.

They were punished when Thompson scored again from long-range when he fired into the top left corner past Stack.
But Crawford, a late substitute for Marsh-Brown, snatched the points for Barnet when his 84th minute effort  from the edge of the area trickled past Carnell.

Barnet are second in the Skrill Premier as a result, level on points with Cambridge United.
