OLIVIER Giroud claims he rejected a move to Chelsea to sign for Premier League and London rivals Arsenal.

The 25-year-old Frenchman made the switch to the Emirates Stadium from Montpellier this week in a deal believed to be worth £13million.

And the striker has revealed he snubbed a move to the Champions League winners to hook up with Arsene Wenger's men.

“The choice was between Chelsea and Arsenal. I chose Arsenal because of the club’s philosophy and stability,” he told French television channel TF1.

“It is something that means a lot for me. I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and Arsenal are a great club with many French players.”
