SAMUEL Eto'o will make his Chelsea debut at Everton tomorrow (Saturday) – even if it is only as a second half substitute.

The Cameroon international, signed in the latest transfer window, is re-united with Jose Mourinho after their spell together as European champions at Inter Milan.

And the striker's experience will prove invaluable according to the Blues' boss.

“He will be selected and when you are a striker and you are selected, normally you play. You start the game or you finish the game,” said Mourinho.

“My attacking players, normally when I select them they play because it's the area where I make more changes during the match. Normally he will play his first minutes for Chelsea in the Premier League.”

The Chelsea boss added: “Technically he's very good. His movement is very intelligent. He knows exactly the kind of movement he has to do to give continuity to his attacking game.

"He has this natural appetite for goals. Normally he will score a few goals for us and he gives experience to a team from midfield to attacking areas. He adds experience to a young area of the pitch.

“I think he's a player adapted to the style of play we want in our team. It's a bit contradictory to the general style and philosophy in the Premier League. We are not any more a physical, direct team, we are a team that want to use the qualities of our attacking players in a different way.”

Mourinho says his craving for wins is another reason Eto'o is likely to feature at Goodison Park.

“Normally I start with one striker, but many many times I finish with two. We start not so many, but we finish a lot of times because I chase results.

“If sometimes I have to risk one point to get three, I do it almost every time. Against Man United I didn't because I felt it was an important point for us, but normally I have strikers on the bench and I like to finish matches with two of them. That's why this group of three is fundamental.”

The Blues have no injury worries after the international break, with everyone reporting back for training fit and healthy.
