Lewis Holtby has pledged to put his Tottenham Hotspur future to the back of his mind while battling for survival with Fulham.

The German midfielder was recruited at Spurs by Andre Villas-Boas as part of a major revamp of the White Hart Lane squad.

Villas-Boas has since left the club and new manager Tim Sherwood allowed Holtby to move across London to Fulham during the January transfer window.

He has gone from one half of the table to the other, with the Whites languishing at the bottom of the Barclays Premier League, and his focus has shifted to a relegation scrap.

Fulham's survival hopes were given a shot in the arm with an unlikley point against Manchester United on Sunday and Holtby says that survival is all that occupies his mind.

“First of all I just think about Fulham and I just want to stay up,” he said. “I want to have a really good 13 games left and I want to show what I can do.

“On Sunday with the assist [for Steve Sidwell's opener at Old Trafford]. I am very happy to show the PL what my abilities are and I am really happy that I am connecting.

“I am looking forward to the next games.”
