Sone Aluko is expecting a tough test against West Ham tonight but insists every pre-season game is difficult, regardless of opposition.

Fulham have faced a range of opposition so far, ranging from Premier League champions Chelsea to Piast Glwice in their first game of pre-season with a variety of results.

The club are currently in Austria with just over two weeks until they kick off their Championship campaign against Norwich City and face West Ham tonight in their latest pre-season fixture.

Speaking to Fulham FC TV, Aluko believes every game in pre-season is tough as a result of their levels of fatigue, regardless of who the side face.

Tough start: Sone Aluko

He said: "It's been tough, it's been a tough pre-season and they aren't getting any easier the older I get.

"We haven't got a massive squad at the moment which makes it even tougher because there's no hiding places.

"As pre-season goes on and we play more games I think we'll get better and stronger.

"It'll be a tough game, but every game in pre-season is tough, whether that be a Premier League team, one of the foreign teams or one of the local teams, because you go into the games already tired from the session it's physically demanding and a lot of the time you're trying to implement and learn new things that the manager is trying to test out.

"It's always tough whether that's mentally or physically."
