Slavisa Jokanovic felt satisfied with his side's showing as they battled against a strong Preston side to claim a share of the points at Craven Cottage but wasn't happy with the first 45.

Fulham came from two goals down to salvage a point thanks to an Oliver Norwood penalty and a last-second Denis Odoi goal after Jordan Hugill and Sean Maguire had given Preston the lead.

The Whites, who were largely poor throughout the first half, rallied in the second period as Preston dropped off and started to pepper the away side's goal with chances.

Tom Cairney came back from injury for the second half and the side seemed better for it, and Jokanovic spoke of his return and the benefit David Button had during the game.

He said: “I must be satisfied.

“In the second half, we connected with a few more passes, held the ball more and took more risks. We showed great personality and character on the pitch.

“We started to play with more confidence and personality. It’s important that we recovered.

“Generally, our plan didn't work well in the first half, but in the end we created many chances.

“We’ve lost a few points at home late on, but today, we won one point in the last minute, so we must be satisfied.

“In my opinion, we deserved a point.

“We found some help from Tom Cairney, who in the first two connected with a few key passes. At the other end, David Button saved us during a few complicated situations.

“We didn’t use Tom at the start of the season because of a few complications, but he completed some work in the last session and we expect him to be available for the game that is in front of us."
