Slavisa Jokanovic wants his squad members to show their importance to his Fulham side as they prepare to face Burton Albion without key men Tom Cairney and Rui Fonte.

Both will miss the game as they continue to recover from injury, while a third game in the space of a week will mean Jokanovic will have to use his entire squad to keep things fresh for the trip to the Pirelli Stadium.

The boss made three changes for the Hull victory from the Cardiff draw, as Sheyi Ojo, Oliver Norwood and Neeskens Kebano coming into the side and is expected to make further changes for tomorrow's game against Burton.

Jokanovic accepts that losing key players happens in a season, but has now challenged his squad players to show how important they are and that they can be strong replacements for those missing.

He said: "This is third game in the week, it's not so strange for us in this competition, I have in my head an idea of what people who can give us more competition.

"In this moment we are without some very important players for this game and we expect they will be back soon with us, but this is part of the competition.

"I miss some important players in this moment and I could miss them in the future and have in the past too, I must accept this situation and it's now a chance for other people to show how important that can be for us and be good replacements for the people who aren't in the squad.

"In the end, this is not competition for only 11 players, you need more to have the squad who can be available to compete in this competition."
