Brothers Lee and Darren Higgs were both on target as Hanworth Villa beat Knaphill 4-2 in the Southern Combination Cup on Tuesday night.

Matt Grave and Mark Buss were also on the mark for Villa, who beat South Park 4-0 in Combined Counties One on Saturday.

Grave bagged a brace in that game, while Benny Reed and Mark Berryman completed the scoring.

That kept Villa second in the table, behind Staines Lammas but with games in hand.

The situation is a reversal of last year, when Villa led for much of the season but Lammas came back to snatch the title by winning a clutch of games in hand they had.

Villa boss Tony Buss said: "There is certainly a familiar feel to things, but despite what happened last season, it's always better to have points on the board.

"But it was pleasing beating Knaphill, as they're behind us in third place and have already beaten us in the league."

Villa will have Darren Higgs out with a hamstring strain and Mark Buss out with work commitments for Saturday's derby at CB Hounslow United.

CB were held to a goalless draw by Crescent Rovers on Saturday.

* FELTHAM, who crashed out of the Middlesex Intermediate Cup 7-1 at Hayes Gate last Saturday, host Frimley Green on Saturday.
