QPR’S major worry for Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United is Mikele Leigertwood .

The Rs midfielder sustained a ‘nasty superficial gash’ according to his new boss – and one that because it’s on the bone, couldn’t take stitches.

"We’ll wait and see if it settles down," said Neil Warnock, ‘but it was a nasty cut."

Rs had used all three subs by the time Leigertwood got the knock, so the former Sheff U player had to hobble the last five minutes in the centre of midfield.

But his team-mates go to Bramall Lane buoyed by back-to-back wins and a first clean sheet in 25 games kept in pristine condition by the 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday.

The Blades have had their edge dulled when it comes to away games (seven defeats on the trot), but have lost only twice in front of their passionate fans.

For those in Hoops headed north, the recommended drinking hole is the CAMRA pub of the year, The Kelvin Island in the city centre, and a cracking chippy called Man Fryday next to the ground.

Our prediction: QPR to continue unbeaten run at Bramall Lane.
