Rayners Lane 1 Chinnor 3

Rayners Lane suffered a second home defeat in four days at the hands of unbeaten Chinnor in the FTL Futbol Hellenic League Division One East.

Manager Marvin Hall introduced two teenagers, Onisim Prichici in goal and James Waterhouse in mid-field, and Robin Wardlaw returned to bolster the central defence. Unfortunately their Tuesday night performance was not much better than Saturday's 1-4 reversal to Wokingham & Emmbrook (Jack Parker scoring for the Lane).

The first half saw the Lane playing some neat football with Darren Gardiner and Parker going close. However, it was Chinnor who broke the deadlock in the 25th minute when player-boss Carr headed home at the far post.

Waterhouse equalised in similar fashion from Simon Waugh's deep cross but Chinnor upped the ante after the break and wrapped up the result with two goals in five minutes.

Lane will welcome the return of Ian Jimmy and Tim Nye for their games with (H) Penn & Tylers on Saturday and (A) South Kilburn on Monday (both 3pm kick offs).

* Tokyngton Manor were defeated 2-3 by Biggleawade United in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday. Tim Maynard and Dan Owen were on target for Manor, who host Stony Stratford Town in South Midlands League Division One this Saturday (3pm).

* In the South Mids Premier, Kingsbury London Tigers host Colney Heath on Saturday before travelling to face Brimsdown Rovers next Wednesday.
