Brentford fans will later today have a second chance to view the revised plans for their new stadium at Lionel Road.

A public exhibition, which was first displayed on Saturday, will again be on show for a second viewing at Brentford Boating Arch, which is in Unit 5 of the Kew Bridge Arches at Strand on the Green.

The proposed amendments, which include a lowering of the capacity alongside other smaller changes, were submitted back in August.

Representatives of the club and project partners Be Living will be on hand to talk through the applications and answer any questions. Any feedback gained as a result will be given direct to Hounslow Council as part of their consultation on the application.

A statement on the club's website read: “Since the original planning permission was approved in June 2014, significant changes have taken place both within the development marketplace and in relation to Premier League football and Premiership rugby union requirements.

“As a result, Brentford Football Club and development partners Be Living Ltd have undertaken a detailed review to ensure the stadium is as financially robust and deliverable as possible; Premier League compliant from day one; and with improvements to the public realm and residential design.

“These are the final changes which, subject to approval by the London Borough of Hounslow, will mean construction of the new stadium will start in early 2018 with the aim of completing by late 2019 or early 2020.”
