The best is yet to come - that was Brentford FC boss Andy Scott's verdict after his side's 1-0 win at Chesterfield on Saturday.

Marcus Bean headed home Glenn Poole's corner for the winner after just a few minutes, but Brentford could easily have had more.

Scott said: "That's eight games unbeaten now, and we know we can play a lot better than we have shown so far too.

"We started fantastically and passed it well, and it was almost too easy in the first 15 minutes."

New signing John Halls, the former Stoke and Reading defender, had an impressive debut for the Bees at right-back.
