FULHAM'S Anfield hero Mark Schwarzer hailed his side's performances at Wolfsburg and Liverpool as two of the best since he has been at the club.

The Aussie number one made a string of impressive saves to secure a rare point at Anfield for the Cottagers just three days after helping them into the semi-finals of the Europa League with victory in Germany.

“I thought that the away performance in Wolfsburg was one of the best since I have been at the club.” said Schwarzer, who joined Fulham in 2008. “We were professional and should have won the game by more than one goal. We wanted to try and back that up and continue the momentum today.

“Liverpool was a massive game for us and to come to Anfield and get a point on the back of Europe was a great result for us.

“We knew that it would be tough, but it was a reasonably comfortable backs to the wall, we were not overpowered and we dealt with things well.

“They played in midweek too, but they are a lot more used to playing in Europe and it is still a learning curve for us.”
