Chris Ramsey will welcome Sandro back with open arms tomorrow but has warned the Brazilian he won’t just walk back into the QPR team.

The former Tottenham midfielder missed the final three matches of last season’s Premier League campaign due to problems with his via.

Relegation to the Championship followed and the Hoops saw their sponsorship licence suspended by the Home Office before seeing it reinstated earlier this summer.

Sandro has been back in his native Brazil while the issues were resolved and he has now been granted a new work permit and is on his way back to west London this evening.

“I spoke to Sandro last night,” Ramsey confirmed.

“He’s due back tomorrow morning and I’m pleased about that.

“I think any team would miss him but I think the players that have been here have done their jobs.

“If he comes back and he’s fit then he’s going to have to fight his way back into the team like anybody else.”

Sandro made 17 appearances for Rangers last season but has been plagued by injury problems since signing for the Loftus Road outfit in a £10million move from Spurs on deadline day last year.
