Richard Dunne reckons QPR keeper Rob Green deserves an England recall.
The 34-year-old has 12 caps already for his country, but hasn’t featured for the Three Lions since the friendly against Norway in May 2012.
However, Green has made a storming start to the season and produced a stunning save to deny George Boyd in Saturday’s win against Burnley.
“He’s up there with the best keepers I’ve played in front of,” said Dunne. “His form this season has been outstanding and he’s probably got a chance of getting back in the England squad the way he’s going at the moment.
“He’s always been at the top of his game, and I suppose since we’ve been in this league he’s gone up a level and had more to do.
“I can’t see why he wouldn’t be on Roy’s radar. He’s been as good as any keeper in this league and if that’s what he would like to do I’m sure there will be a place in the squad for him.”
