SASCHA Riether has signed a new deal that ties him to Craven Cottage until at least 2016.

The German starred during a season-loan loan spell from Cologne last season before signing permanently in May.

Riether played 39 times for the Whites, with his performances seeing him voted the player of the year prize by his team-mates.

The right-back has now pledged his future to Fulham, agreeing a two-year deal with the option of a further year.

"I'm happy to have got the deal done," Riether told Fulham's official website.

"I like it here - I love Fulham, I love the fans, I love the club, and I'm happy that we could close this deal now.

"It's the start of the season and we are well prepared so I'm looking forward to the future."
