It felt like a defeat having lead with two minutes to play but Fulham have at least taken a point from their Championship season opener against Norwich City at Craven Cottage.
It's a big season ahead for Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic but it didn't started well with the news that first choice keeper Marcus Bettinelli was unavailable for the Championship opener against the Canaries and that experienced back-up David Button would be given the nod.
However, Jokanovic insisted he has full faith in the much-maligned goalkeeper before the game and the 28-year-old proved his worth with a steady display against Norwich.
The Whites boss: “I have a fantastic relationship with David Button. I trust him and used him 40 times. Many times, he did a very good job for us. I am fully confident in him. When Marcus Bettinelli is available, he'll fight him for the position.”

Sorry
Sorry I couldn’t bring you a win but thank you for joining me at Craven Cottage today.
Have a read back over the game if you like - just scrioll down.
Now I’m off to find a manager or player to chat to about that draw...
We have a fan on the pitch
But the security do their job and he is now being escorted out of the Cottage...
What a blow...
88th minute and Oliveira makes it 1-1. Kalas lost him and the Norwich man slide the ball under the adavancing Button from close range.
Norwich free kick
Which Aluko heads just over the Fulham crossbar. That was close to being a second OG of the day.
Fulham on the attack
Cairney runs with the ball before finding Aluko on the left but the home team lose the ball.
Fulham could really do with a second goal here.
Ten minutes left
And Fulham still lead 1-0 but Norwich are throwing men forward to get an equaliser.
Oliveira just had a shot (weak) saved by Button.
Apparently...
The weather is so bad in Surrey that non-league friendlies are getting postponed due to waterlogged pitches...
It’s sunny in Fulham though. Yay for Fulham.
Controversy!
Norwich want a penalty for an Odoi handball in the box. That would have been very harsh on the defender. He turned his back to the ball to block it and it hit his arm/shoulder/back area.
Chance!
Kamara goes it alone but finds himself at a tight angle and can only shoot into the side netting
Last ten minutes
Quite a bit of pressure from Norwich but the shots have been rushed, not causing Button many problems.
Interesting substitutions
Ayite probably ran himself into the ground, especially when you consider it’s early in the season and quite warm.
Not sure about Sessegnon though. He didn’t have his best game, although he got better as the minutes ticked on...
The second half so far
Fulham look comfortable but Norwich will start piling on the pressure soon.
The home team really could do with a second goal to give themselves a bit of breathing room
Free-kick
Maddison sends his free-kick from the edge of the box into the Norwich fans. A waste that, from the visitor’s point of view.
Still 1-0 Fulham.
Nearly half-time
And Fulham lead 1-0.
Hopefully they can build on this in the second half.
One minute added.
