Chris Ramsey is biding his time as to what Queens Park Rangers side he can select for Sunday's must-win game against Everton.

QPR are embroiled in a relegation scrap and could be bottom of the league before they kick-off, should Leicester claim a surprise 3-0 victory at Tottenham on Saturday.

Mauricio Isla has been suffering with a knee injury and missed the 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace but is itching to face the Toffees at Loftus Road.

Ramsey said: “Isla trained earlier this week. We'll have to play it by ear. He wants to be involved despite having an injury that could see him out for a long time. He wants to play and hopes he can play.”

Darnell Furlong was withdrawn at half-time at Crystal Palace with a calf issue and Ramsey was coy about whether he could return for Sunday.

He said: “Darnell had a calf problem and his determination to play but, unfortunately for him, we had to take him off at half-time and we need him later on.”

Rio Ferdinand missed the defeat at Selhurst Park with flu but has been on the training ground in a bid to get back to full fitness.

Ramsey said: “He's trained this week and there's been two or three of the boys getting them back into training this week. We'll see how he reacts.”

Joey Barton is also available for selection after serving his three match ban after his red card against Hull.
