QPR defender Grant Hall has revealed that he looks up to Chelsea captain John Terry and former Manchester United and Hoops man Rio Ferdinand.

The former Tottenham defender admires the way Terry puts his body on the line for his club, while he is a fan of the way Ferdinand played his football.

Hall never got the chance to face off against the former England defender during his playing career but did have a brief moment where he shared a pitch with Terry.

He said: “I'm a centre back so John Terry was a fantastic footballer for me. He puts his body on the line.

“Rio Ferdinand was one of the best centre backs footballing wise. They're the two I've looked up to.

“When I was at Swindon John Terry came on against us so I had a chance to play against him. I learnt from his leadership. He was barking out orders to everyone on the pitch. He has that presence about him.”

Hall was also full of praise for the way the dressing room set up at QPR is and has never experienced such a togetherness at any of his previous clubs.

He added: "This set of lads is one of the best group of lads I've come across. The team togetherness here is special – there are no cliques in the dressing room.”
