QPR are said to face a battle to keep hold of youngster Josh Bowler after interest from Premier League sides Arsenal and Everton.

According to reports on teamtalk.com, the 17-year-old has been subject to a £500k initial bid from the Toffees after making his first-team debut for the Hoops in their final game of the season away to Norwich City.

The approach, which would rise to £3m, is said to have been turned down.

Bowler is rated highly by manager Ian Holloway, who would no doubt be keen to keep the tall wide man at the club after handing him his first professional contract.
