QPR go in at the break 1-0 up against play-off finalists Reading.

After viewing a team sheet full of question marks before kick-off, we assess the team’s top performers in the first half at Loftus Road with our player ratings.

Three stars – Luke Freeman

The attacking midfielder has been the best player on the park by a mile. Not only has he been performing his defensive duties, but he’s been a constant pain for Reading as he buzzes around in the number 10 role behind Conor Washington and Jamie Mackie.

His fast feet were instrumental in teeing up Pawel Wszolek who crossed for Conor Washington to give QPR the lead.

Two stars – Conor Washington

Has performed in typical Washington style; but with the added extra of a goal. His tireless work ethic is never questioned as he puts the defence under pressure. He also did extremely well to head home his goal from a tight angle, and could have had another before half-time.

One star – Nedum Onuoha

The bulky defender has handled everything thrown at him. He’s very much been the orchestrator in a well organised QPR defence and has made a few vital interceptions in the penalty area.
