JAY Simpson is touch-and-go to be fit for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
The QPR striker has been nursing a damaged hamstring and trained on his own with the club physio Wednesday – but could be a late contender for boss Neil Warnock’s inclusion.
The on-loan forward from Arsenal scored the first in the 2-1 victory at Hillsborough on November 7- but defender Matt Connolly is still suffering from a damaged ankle, and won’t be considered until Monday at the earliest if at all.
Long-term injuries Gavin Mahon and Martin Rowlands are ruled out, and Warnock looks set to keep the faith with the team that grabbed a point at Preston in the 2-2 draw last Saturday.
