Clint Hill believes it's time for QPR fans to stop being the butt of west London neighbours’ jokes.

The Rs’ veteran has issued a rallying cry ahead of tomorrow’s derby with Brentford at Loftus Road, urging teammates to save the hooped faithful from another Monday morning misery when it comes to battles with their fiercest rivals.

Rangers were hapless in defeats home and away to Fulham as well as in the reverse fixture against the Bees at the end of October, so according to Hill they owe it to their long-suffering fans to buck the trend.

Hill himself was in the wars at Griffin Park, and was lucky to escape serious knee injury on a night to forget.

“Fans go home frustrated as hell if we lose and then they have got to go into work Monday morning with Brentford, Fulham or whoever’s supporters in their ear and it does not make for a nice week,” he said.

Pain: Clint Hill suffering at Brentford.

Statistics bear out Hill’s plea to circle the wagons with this season’s results part of an all too familiar trend.

Rangers have won only three of 19 meetings with Fulham, Chelsea or Brentford this millennium.

Nowhere near good enough barked Hill, before admitting cheap tall needs to be backed up by delivery of three points.

“The London derbies over the past few years results-wise have been a disgrace from us and it is something we need to address,” he added.

“It has been mentioned in the dressing room, but we can talk all we want.

“At the end of the day it comes down to what we do on a Saturday. We need a big performance.”
