QPR are preparing at the home of English football in a bid to break their away duck on the road.

The squad are training and staying at the FA’s St George’s National Centre in Burton before the clash with Stoke.

As boss Harry Redknapp explained: “It’s a chance to get on the road early avoid the traffic and train there. After all, it’s only about 45 minutes from Stoke.”

Injury: Joey Barton (R) and Sandro in action at Newcastle before the latter was laid low with a knee problem

The manager had hoped midfielder Sandro would be available for the Britannia, but the ex-Spur is still a week away, and although full-back Yun has trained this week, the Korean international is short of match fitness.

On the plus side, defender Richard Dunne has recovered from a groin strain, and Armand Traore from a toe injury.

Return: Richard Dunne (L)

QPR may be deep in the relegation mire, but their manager insists tomorrow’s opponents have no such worries – and neither do Everton, hovering on the edge of the drop zone candidates.

Redknapp added: “Stoke are an established Premier League side, and I can’t see them getting involved. Everton? No? Not them either.”
