JAY Bothroyd and Danny Gabbidon face a race against time to be fit for Wednesday night's clash with Sunderland.

The QPR duo picked up knocks during this afternoon's defeat against Manchester United, and the pair will be assessed in the next 48 hours ahead of the visit of the Black Cats.

Boss Neil Warnock said: “We'll have to see how they are over the next couple of days.”

Warnock will be desperate Gabbidon recovers in time, with Anton Ferdinand sidelined with a hamstring problem and Fitz Hall not match-fit after his injury lay-off.
