MATT Connolly could be out for up to a month after limping off against Derby last night with an ankle injury.

Boss Neil Warnock revealed the young defender has been struggling ever since he got to QPR six games ago - but carried on until he was forced off after 33 minutes in the 1-1 draw with the Rams.

Warnock said: "If he was a horse we’d have probably had him put down by now. He’s been struggling for the last two games. He’s done fantastic for me really.

"But it wasn't cautionary for me to bring him off. He couldn't carry on - and he needs time to recover."
