Loftus Road witnessed a stunning goal on Friday night from Brighton and Hove Albion's Sebastien Pocognoli, and Queens Park Rangers star James Perch didn't think the left-back would pull it off.

Standing right on the right-side corner of the 18-yard area, the angle was so ambitious it seemed like you could only score such an effort on a video game.

Pocogboli, on loan from West Bromwich Albion, curled it over the QPR wall and into the top-right corner of the goal, via the underside of the crossbar, for an immaculate finish to beat Alex Smithies.

And Perch could do nothing but admire a strike good enough to beat "one of the best goalkeepers in the league".

"To be fair, when he (Pocognoli) was on the corner like that, I'm almost saying 'go on then, have a go', because I know it's such a tough angle to score from," Perch told Get West London.

"You feel like you only score those playing FIFA! You kind of think 'all the best, have a go' but someone scores one like that, you almost have to pat them on the back and say well done.

"And that's because we have one of the best goalkeepers in the league, too. Alex has been unbelievable for us, so if he can't get close to it then it must have been a good free-kick."
