LEYTON Orient are ready to end Lee Cook’s loan misery.

The League One outfit want to take the 29-year-old until Christmas – even though it would mean the QPR fans’ favourite dropping two leagues to get a run of games.

Cook was left out of Rangers 25-man Premiership squad, and so far has played only once this season when Rs were ejected unceremoniously from the Carling Cup 2-0 by Rochdale at home back in August.

The midfielder’s injury woes had previously restricted his appearances in all competitions to just 17 in the last two seasons.

And although he did land a trial with Nottingham Forest back in September, any chance of a full loan bit the dust when manager Steve McClaren also left the City ground straight after.
