QPR captain Mikele Leigertwood is determined to show Sheffield United fans what they're missing tomorrow after two injury-plagued seasons at Bramall Lane.

Leigertwood sampled the pinnacle of English football under Neil Warnock when the Blades were in the Premier League, but his chance to mix it with the best midfielders in the land was curtailed by injuries.

And that meant he did not do as well as he would have liked in Yorkshire.

He said: “It was great playing in the Premier League , but it was quite a short spell for me as I got two bad ankle injuries, even though I had not been injury prone.

“So it was cut short for me, but I had a good time there. It is always nice to go back to your former club, and hopefully we can go up there and win.”
