Queens Park Rangers defender James Perch admits he doesn't like seeing former side Nottingham Forest in relegation trouble ahead of Saturday's clash at Loftus Road.

Indeed, the Hoops themselves need to win to make sure they are finally safe, following six-straight defeats.

If they lose to Forest this weekend, they face a nail-biting trip to Norwich City on the final day of the campaign.

Perch knows the task in hand against his old club and will be gunning for three points.

"It's in our hands now. If we beat Forest on Saturday we're safe and it puts them in trouble," he told Get West London.

"I don't wish that upon them down there, but I play for QPR now and that's the job we've got to do.

"The perfect scenario is we're both safe and neither are in trouble."
