QPR full back Jake Bidwell admitted he has been inspired by pal Adam Forshaw's fine season with struggling Middlesbrough.
The pair came through the ranks at Everton before both moving to Brentford, originally on loan before both deals became permanent.
Forshaw hit the heights in League One and moved to Wigan in 2014 before joining Boro in 2015.
He was a bit-part player in the Championship but thrived in the Premier League.
And the Rangers full back has been delighted to see Forshaw's hard work pay off.
Bidwell said: "It's great to see lads you've played with coming through and doing well, proving they can play in the Premier League. It does give you inspiration.
“Adam, I've known since I was 11 and he's come through and is rewarded for his hard work.”
Bidwell has made 32 appearances for QPR this season, scoring once from the penalty spot in the 2-1 defeat to Blackburn.
Forshaw, on the other hand, has played 27 games for Boro this season.
