QPR skipper Mikele Leigertwood has handed manager Neil Warnock a boost ahead of Saturday's return trip for the pair to Sheffield United.
Former Blade Leigertwood hobbled through the latter stages of Tuesday night's 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle after suffering a gash to his shin, but he took a full part in training earlier today and is relishing the trip to Bramall Lane with QPR rejuvenated under Warnock.
"I trained today no problem and I am fine," he said. "We have had back to back wins and the players feel a lot more confident, everyone is working hard for each other."
Leigertwood believes that being back in the midfield engine room can bring the best out of him after he was utilised by previous managers in an emergency right-back role.
"Whatever position you play, you just want to play there consistently in that role and since I have come back from suspension I have done well," he added. "My fitness is good and I just want to continue playing and help the team to victories."
