QPR will allow Armand Traore to leave as soon as possible after the left-back apparently suffered a new injury.

Boss Harry Redknapp admitted he was disappointed the former Arsenal defender has pulled up lame yet again.

The manager reckoned it was now a calf or knee problem besetting the 23-year-old – Harry wasn’t sure - but made it plain he was fast losing patience with the Senegal international.

In fact, the manager wondered out loud whether Traore’s (pic) latest setback was as bad as the player thinks.

He said: “Armand’s not fit again at the moment. I think he wants to leave, and he’s not fit for tomorrow (at Huddersfield).

“He’s got this dodgy calf or something.”

Redknapp himself has recently undergone wear-and-tear knee surgery, but had little sympathy for Traore’s latest plight that has seen him suffer, knee, calf, ankle and even back problems – alleviated by a night-time mouth guard to ward off stress, that's seen just 45 starts in two years.

“Yeah, I know all about knees,” added Redknapp with tongue firmly in cheek, “but mine’s genuine.”

The Rs boss will sleep on whether to leave Suk-Young Yun in place after the Korean filled in at the 2-0 win over Exeter in the Capital Cup on Tuesday, or shift Danny Simpson over to the left and give Gary O’Neil a debut at right-back.

“We’re looking around at all possibilities (for a new left-back)” said Redknapp, “and Yun, who played at Exeter the other day, did well enough.”
