QPR outcast Julio Cesar has been called up to Brazil’s squad for the forthcoming Fifa World Cup.

The veteran keeper was loaned out to MLS side Toronto in February having made just one appearance for Rangers since their relegation from the Premier League.

Cesar will compete for a place between the sticks for Brazil with his compatriots  Jefferson, of Botafogo and Gremio’s Victor.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s 23-man Samba squad includes six Premier League players, including Chelsea quartet Ramires, David Luiz, Willian and Oscar.

Brazil begin their World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 12 and then face Mexico and Cameroon.
