QPR look as if they will be without Andy Johnson for the lunchtime visit of Leicester tomorrow (Saturday) – and Yossi Benayoun still isn’t ready to play anything but a cameo role.

Boss Harry Redknapp admits the lack of friendly or reserve matches has hampered match-fitness for the latest recruit.

Benayoun has played only six times in the last 18 months, but is likely to be on the bench for the clash of the big two.

Redknapp added: “We could have done with a match to help Yossi to full fitness, but at the moment he could probably play about 20 minutes or so.”

Striker Johnson has a back problem, but everyone else who featured in the 2-0 away win over Blackpool last week has been given a clean bill of health in a game Redknapp agrees could see daylight forged between the two.

He said: “Leicester are flying; (manager) Nigel (Pearson) has done a good job.

“They've had a couple of difficult games but they'll be there at the end. Seven or eight of us look as if we’re good enough to go up and that includes QPR and Leicester.”
