Tom Carrroll wasn't the least surprised when Karl Henry scored what turned out to be the winner for QPR against Bolton.

Rangers second goal by the midfielder in a 2-1 win was a collector's piece. In fact, Henry hadn't scored a league goal for five years, but his young team-mate reckons he does it all the time in training.

Henry turned away more stunned by his 20-yard strike than anything else. It might have accounted for the muted celebration by the former Wolves man.

"Karl looked a bit surprised - but it was a great strike and to be fair to him he hits them like that in training," said Carroll.

Charlie Austin was in the wars before he netted with a downward header - his 15th of the season.

First, he collided with defender Tim Ream that saw the Bolton player exit the action after just 10 seconds.

Then Austin needed treatment for a shoulder that had all the hallmarks of a dislocation - but still rose highest to open the scoring.

"That sums up Charlie to be honest," said Carroll. "He's a great lad and a great character and luckily he stayed on to score like he's been doing all season."

Bolton hit back with a late goal, with the Spurs loanee grateful to hear the final whistle.

"It was a bit nervy in the last five minutes - but this was a massive three points," added Carroll.
