QPR midfielder Massimo Luongo has been nominated in the PFA Bristol Street Motors Championship Player of the Month award for October.

The Australian international has been the Hoops top performer throughout October, leading by example as they achieved two wins and two draws during the month.

Luongo also wore the captains armband in the absence of the injured Nedum Onuoha, while also forging a formidable understanding with fellow midfielders Luke Freeman and Josh Scowen.

The 25-year-old faces tough competition for the award, going up against Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers), Leo Bonatini, Diogo Jota (both Wolves), Ecuele Manga (Cardiff City) and Lewis Grabban (sunderland).
