SHAUN Derry's scintillating display against former club Crystal Palace on Saturday earned rave reviews from his boss – and the midfielder feels it is justified.

Derry rated his outstanding display as his best since his summer arrival at Loftus Road , but says team-mates are making it easier for him.

"It's always nice to hear kind words off the manager, and I'd say it was my best performance for the club," he said of Neil Warnock's comments.

"I was really pleased with my passing on Saturday. That side of my game was good. The numerical advantage we had in the second half made it a lot easier to get on the ball but I enjoyed the first half as well when it was 11 v 11."

Derry added: "I'm very fortunate to be playing in a side that compliments my own ability.

"When you play alongside someone like Ali Faurlin and you have players in front of you making runs all the time like Jamie Mackie , Tommy Smith , Hogan [Ephraim], Wayne [Routledge] and Adel [Taarabt], it makes my job a lot easier. They give you incredible angles all the time."
