Armand Traore wants Adel Taarabt back with QPR in the Premier League next season.

The mercurial Moroccan faces an uncertain future after his loan spell at AC Milan expired.

Taarabt was shipped out by Rangers boss Harry Redknapp last summer and it remains unclear whether the attacker figures in the manager's plans following promotion from the Championship.

However, Traore, who also played with Taarabt at youth level, says the west Londoners should welcome him back with open arms.

He said: “Everybody knows Adel, he took QPR to the Premier League three years ago.

“I think he could be good for the team, if he’s in the right mind.

“He’s been in a massive club in AC Milan. Does he want to come back to QPR? I don’t know, I don’t really talk to him about that.”

He added: “Adel is that type of character where if he’s too comfortable, he can rest on his laurels a little bit.

“Going there and playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world will have put some pressure on him to do well and be serious and concentrate on football. I think can only have helped him.

“We haven’t really talked [about what he wants to do]. He’s not the kind of guy who will call me all the time [about that]. He’ll just be like ‘Oh, hey, I’m in London’.

“That’s what he’s like. I don’t really know his situation.”
