MAX Ehmer is convinced he has nailed down his QPR future after getting the nod from R's boss Harry Redknapp .

The German-born 21-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance, despite signing a professional contract four years ago, and a new three-year deal last summer.

But he was included in the first-team squad's pre-season tour to Austria this week, while senior pros like Anton Ferdinand and Luke Young were left behind.

He said: “I spoke to Harry before the start of pre-season and he told me just to come back as fit as I can, and I have been working hard in pre-season.

“I read that as me having a future here. I've got two more years on my deal to run, so I'm not in a hurry. Everybody gets a chance to prove themselves, it's taking that chance when you get it.”

Ehmer has spent time on loan at both Stevenage and Preston in then past year, but it is in his two spells at Yeovil, who the R's will play in the Championship next year, where he has shone.

He added: “It's always nice to be playing for the team you are signed up to, but if the gaffer thinks going out on loan again is best for me, I will go and get some more games under my belt.

“I was quite surprised Yeovil came up, but I am happy for them. There should still be some there from my time, and we play them quite early on, so perhaps I can be our spy in the camp.”
