QPR legend Kevin Gallen has joined the coaching staff at Dunstable Town.

The Chiswick born striker became a fans' favourite at Loftus Road after spending two six-year spells at the club.

He started out his career in blue and white hoops in 1994, making 172 league appearances and scoring 36 goals, before joining Huddersfield in 2000.

He was back in west London just over a year later and he made a further 197 QPR league appearances, finding the net a further 54 times.

Gallen subsequently had spells at MK Dons, Luton, Barnet, Braintree, Leverstock Green and Aylesbury United before hanging up his boots.

And now the 41-year-old has joined Dunstable Town in the Southern League Central.

"To have someone with Kevin's experience and knowledge on board is going to be a great help to me and a great asset to the club.“ manager Tony McCool said.

“It shows how much we believe in this project and we plan on putting Dunstable Town back on the map.”

Gallen, who has watched the players at the first couple of training sessions this week said, “I am looking forward to working with Tony, the players and the club officials at Dunstable Town and can’t wait to get started.”
